NYS Winter Classic Fishing Tournament

Statewide fishing tournament in NY state for ice or open water from January 1st through February 28th (29th during leap years). The event includes 7 species to go after (northern pike, walleye, trout, pickerel, yellow perch, crappie, and panfish). Fish are entered and place via length using the Fish Donkey app on the anglers’ cell phones. Payout is based on the number of anglers registered plus any sponsored funding. The event also features a heavy load of sponsored gear that is given away at the awards ceremony at Batavia Downs Casino Resort, where all Top-3 anglers are housed overnight as part of their awards package (when available).
