Kate Bollinger is the Executive Director of the US-India Friendship Alliance (USIFA), an affiliate of the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum. In this role, Kate manages the USIFA’s strategic direction, programs, and operations, advancing the Alliance’s mission to deepen cultural, educational, and socioeconomic ties between the United States and India.
Prior to joining USISPF, Kate spent a decade at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), serving in the Asia Bureau and later in the Bureau for Inclusive Growth, Partnerships, and Innovation. In these roles, she led teams, shaped policy, and managed initiatives focused on inclusive growth and women’s empowerment, with an emphasis on building cross-sectoral partnerships to drive sustainable development. Earlier in her career, Kate was a Senior Program Officer at The Asia Foundation, where she advised country offices across Asia and authored research on women’s economic security. She brings particular expertise in South Asia, including managing programs and initiatives in India.
Kate holds a Master’s degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Oxford and a Master’s degree in International Policy Studies from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Pomona College.
